Thanks Ronny ... Brilliant and in the diary. Perhaps I will be able to make 10 days or so of it.

Would be prepared to car share for this event, I have a double stacking trailer and could probably get a boat on the roof bars.
Share fuel and Ferry costs, would be prepared to carry a passenger too, if someone wanted to bring a friend etc, realistically you wouldn't want more than 4 adults due to luggage and gear.
My journey will be from West Mid's to Dover, anywhere along route would be a good pick up point, diversions within reason acceptable.

Sounds like the best way to go Rob. That's how Frans, Dean and me kept the trips to the UK affordable and fun at the same time. Extra advantage is that you can change the driver occasionally.

The Nationals at Ostend (weekend of 8-9 June) are approaching.
Have you made travel arrangements, or could you give me some indication about your intentions for coming over to Ostend?

I have not made any arrangements yet but it is my intention to come to Ostend (8-9th June) for the championships and I am very much looking forward to it. The dates are marked on the kitchen calender so it is law now!

I had originally planned to drive up to NL sometime after your meeting and stay until the regatta at Wormer but I am not sure if that part is possible now.

Moved posted message from Notoverthehill (Yesterday 09:48):

Ronny,
Great to see Steve following in your footsteps with such a fine account of his rebuild.
Still hoping to go to Huntingdon nest weekend and Ostend in June, with David it seems, but lots of details to sort out, not least cheapest way to travel with 2 boats on a trailer. Can't login to the new page so I must message Steve.
Hope all is well with you and Marijke ( spelling ).
Best wishes, Tom

Hi Tom,

Indeed it looks as if Steve had a good time during the rebuilt of your Meson.
Glad you intend to make it to Ostend. "cheapest way to travel with 2 boats on a trailer." You probably found the formula already; One car, one trailer and two travelers charing the cost.

It was a good gathering and the sailing on Sunday washed our faces sandblasted the day before.
