This year, Roadford Lake Sailing Club have agreed to host our Minisail Nationals as part of the Roadford CVRDA (Classic and Vintage Racing Dinghy Association) event. We are welcome to arrive on Friday, and if we're early enough, we can plan for a practice race or two (or maybe some practice race starts?) on Friday afternoon, say. And we don't have to tear away on Sunday afternoon, we can hang around and leave on Monday morning if we want to. More details on http://www.cvrda.org/events/roadford-rally-2017/

I was hoping to make this event, but probably no where left to camp, have to ask on cvrda.

At Roadford it would - for me- be the first time to have to camp outside the premises of a club during a CVRDA meeting.
Now that's fine.
Ony the alternative (www.outdoorandactive.uk.com) is a campsite that doesn't appeal to me at all. Even if we don't need it except for just pitching up a tent for one or two nights.
David went for a B&B and Dean will find a spot with his stelth campervan.
No idea for now where Frans and me would stay overnight. We will have to look into this.
Ghosh, maybe Roadford wasn't the best idea after all... mind, it's a lovely pond.

Hi, Guys.

At the moment, I only know of Rob going so long as there's a pitch available at the campsite, and Dean who might be sailing his Moth. If that's the case, I don't think we can call this the Nationals. Maybe we should postpone to a later date? What do you think?

Regards, David

Agreed on this can't be called the Nationals and postponing to a later date sounds like a sensible move.
Hope I will be able to attend the new date. For me personally it all will depend on my work situation from now on.

Rupert has offered a meet at Whitefriars later in the year, perhaps we could use this for nationals ?

OK, we need to make a decision. Let's:

1) decide now to postpone the Nationals at Roadford. We can then
2) explore the possibility of holding them at Whitefriars instead later in the year.

I'll contact Alan at Roadford and let him know.

Regards, David

I agree with you David.
I think we should ask Rupert if he minds using his suggested meet for Nationals.

There were no Nationals this year John (see above).
Let's hope we get some going in 2018.
Also I heard from Dean -who was at Roadford- about the organiser Alan Williams his dissapointment in the Minisail group for not showing up. I think we need to make up for that.
