From Ian J. I following question:

Good morning,

Since late last year I have been the owner of minisprint mk 2 5835.
Yesterday was only the second time I've had a chance to try it and I'm looking for advice in how to sit in it! It might sound daft but my club - Otley S.C. - needs many quick changes of direction and I'm not finding it easy even though the bar behind the seat has been removed - it seems the mainsheet used to be attached to it but it got in the way.
I have read that this version is better suited to more open water but I would like to persevere a bit longer.

Kind regards,
Ian

Hi Ian,
I have a Sprint mk2, I sail on a small lake and have no difficulty with multiple fast tacks, to the extent that people shout propelling.
The trick is to always lift your front leg back over plank, so both legs will be aft, I then kneel in centre of boat until boom passes over, resit put leg over plank and resume sailing.

Hi Ian
I live near York so very nice to know there is another Minisail nearby.
Happy to pop over sometime and have two minisals out.
Regards
John
