Following rigging questions on Minisail Google group, it was mentioned that a training weekend could be a good idea, Rupert suggested possibility of it being held at Whitefriars, is anyone interested ?

Nope, haven't seen anything on FB (mind i'm not a specialist).
Though there was some enthousiasm for having a MiniSail meeting in the U.K. late summer by David, Tom, John an Dean when they were in Ostend last June.

Hi all
Only just seen the discussion. I would be interested in a get together and races.
I don't do FB so will have missed that and over the summer forget to look at the forum. It might be good to get everyone's email to do a round robin as Rob suggests.
Cheers
John

Not much going on on FB about a get together except for the one flag raised by Tom but no reply there.
Posted a topic on Google Groups.

Some activity going on at the Google groups forum:

I like the invite from Alan Roberson, the membership secretary of Padstow sailing club, to have a sail in the river Camel estuary. Though tides would only allow to take the 7-8 September weekend (in September). Too short to make a decision I guess?

Perhaps we could firm something up for next year ?
Something to look forward to in the new year.
Could be a big puller, Nationals at the seaside, lovely area too, been there many times over the years.

"Something to look forward to in the new year", indeed.
Haven't been in Corwall before but the river Camel Estuary looks stunning and not spoiled by moored yachts.
I am fully in favor for having a Minisail gathering at the Padstow sailing club. Firming something up for next year would need to be done asap, since I think their calendar must be tight (seeing the dependance on tides).

Rupert also kindly offered to have something going at his club: "If anyone wants a springtime start of season boost, a weekend of boat set up, tuning and race coaching, then it probably needs planning soon...", Also there no time to waist.

Perhaps we could ask Rupert if he could cover sailing in tidal waters ?
