As a long term Minisailor I have dabbled in other single handed dinghies at the expense of my back and bank balance but returned to the comfort of a seat to sit on when sailing, especially welcome if older. But I have had an enforced break from sailing for more than two months. However thanks to dedicated work from Ronny here we are able to spread the word about the class and our welcome .
Anyone in the South of England is welcome to try a Minisail in or near the Solent by arrangement with me. I might even sell them one, for very little money and allow them the chance to join me, David and others in relatively uncomplicated and easy accessible time on the water.

Hello I am a new member just succumbed to resquing a sprint mk2 and a Monaco.
Having done a 600 mile round trip to collect. It would be very helpful to meat up and take a look at some sailing and get a better understanding of the mark.
Regards Gordon

Gordon,
Southampton is a long way but any specific queries I would be glad to help with.
Mostly I say to new Minisailors they are a little bit flighty if you are used to 2 handed 2 sail dinghies, but give sensation of speed.
Tie everything on, including daggerboard in case of the unlikely event of going upside down.
Hope this helps,
Tom Southampton

Hi Tom thank you for your andive. I have asked if any one knows of anyother Minisail enthusiasts closer to Exeter who are CA memers I would be happy to get in tuch with.
I did travel to Norfolk a cupple of weekends ago to colect a Minisail or should I say save another so Southhampton is not that far.
All the best.

We;ve got 3 Minisails in the club now, since I bought a MK2 last weekend which was stored for over 10 years in a barn in Holland. It is looking pristine. Old boys and their toys. We hope to expand the group of Minisail enthousiasts on our lake(were the Europeans 2017 were held) and have some clubraces in the near future.

I suspect that Tom may actually have an own fleet, tucked away behind long grasses. ;-)
